Sydney Solvents is a family owned business with over 20 years’ experience. We specialise in solvents and cleaning products across Australia. We are currently looking to grow and have a full-time admin worker to join our team. We do have full training provided and are flexible in hours, ideally hours would be Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm. For the right person we are happy to work in with what you need such as part time or job share.

This job would be most suited to someone who is a self-starter and wants the opportunity to work in a friendly office. Someone who is ready to start their day with a positive attitude.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for customers e.g. phone calls, walk-in sales, online, etc.
  • Monitoring and responding to emails in a timely manner
  • Answering incoming calls
  • Using and responding to online chats
  • Connecting with customers through social media e.g. Facebook and Instagram
  • Handling enquiries e.g. customer enquiries, quotes
  • All daily invoicing – receivables and payables
  • Preparing supplier invoices for accounts payable
  • Getting orders ready
  • Organising couriers
  • Product ordering from suppliers
  • Using Accounts system MYOB
  • Using eCommerce platform and monitoring sales channels e.g. Neto, eBay, Amazon, Catch.
  • Filing
  • General office duties as required

Skills and experience:

  • Strong computer skills are essential
  • Enjoy working with a range of customers
  • Ideal an interest in online marketing
  • No experience required, but the right attitude is a must!
  • Ability to work independently
  • Team player, whose happy to help out and ability to show initiative
  • Sound written and verbal communication
  • Sound computer skills in MS office
  • Administration skills in MYOB is an advantage but not essential
